I like the "Snappy" books for my grandchild! We had one of Alex the Aligator which was a smaller and older version of this Snappy series. The part of the book that is raised when you press down on the lever is not as sturdy in this series as in the previous series. It fell off of the coffee table, or was pulled off by my one-year old grandchild. Anyway, that part of the book does not work like before because something happened to the mechanism. The story is fun tho and a one-year old and Grandma like it!!
Granddaughter loved it.
We love Andy the Alligator, so we wanted to order the other characters... but Dora Dolphin is sorta terrible. The story is not that great, and where the other characters in the other books say SNAP SNAP SNAP, Dora says Click Click... except that when you lift dora's head to click along with the story, the print under her face still says SNAP SNAP SNAP. Not that well done, save your money and buy the other snappy books like Penny Penguin and Tommy T-Rex - Andy Alligator is the best one by far.
